Interesting Fact: Lightning was a nickname I used in 2008 and 2009 when I was employed by the Aberdeen IronBirds (Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Orioles)! The name has stuck ever since!

How Did I Become A DJ?
My passion for becoming a DJ began in December 2010 after attending a party where the DJ wasn’t very good. In early 2011, I was walking home from the store when I noticed a bumper sticker for a DJ who lived down the street. That’s the light bulb went off! I decided to learn the basics of DJing. Four days later, I saw a man outside the house with the DJ sticker. He told me his wife was the DJ, so I gave him my information and headed home. The next day, she called and invited me over to ask some questions. When I got there, her husband answered the door, and she came out saying, "Dang, you look like a strong guy!" I thanked her, and she asked the usual questions—like how much I could carry, what kinds of music I liked, and if I knew how to take pictures. I ended up apprenticing with her for a year, DJing dozens of weddings, parties, and fundraisers before she stopped DJing in 2012. I acquired some of her equipment and, on April 1, 2014 (no April Fool’s joke), I officially started DJing. I did dozens of events that year, and the rest is history!
